<P class=MsoNormal>Summer UROP: Shape Changing Surfaces <o:p></o:p></P>

<P class=MsoNormal>The goal for this urop project will be to design and
implement shape changing surfaces for reconfigurable architectural spaces and
human computer interaction. <o:p></o:p></P>

<P class=MsoNormal>We are currently developing several projects, which use smart
materials and embedded electronics to change shape in response to human
interaction and environmental conditions. The goal for this urop will be to
design, simulate and physically build several aspects of these projects. The
candidate will have a chance to get involved in world class research and to
co-author scientific publications. Interested candidates should have some
experience with programming and/or graphics modeling packages. Electronics
experience is a plus, but most importantly you should be self motivated, good at
solving technical problems, interested in learning new technologies and getting
some hands-on experience. <o:p></o:p></P>
