This is a reminder to RSVP and come attend the annual Arthur Miller Lecture in Science and Ethics
today, October 7th at 4:00 PM, featuring Cass R. Sunstein, the Robert Walmsley University Professor at Harvard University, speaking on his new book,
Campus Free Speech: A Pocket Guide.

Sunstein offers a case-by-base guide to resolving the free-speech dilemma facing colleges and universities today. The First Amendment prohibits “abridging the freedom of speech,” yet laws against perjury or bribery are still constitutional.
Valuing freedom of speech does not stop a university from regulating speech when doing so is necessary for its educational mission. So where is the dividing line? How can we distinguish reasonable restrictions from impermissible infringement?

The event will be held at The Nexus in Hayden Library (14S-130) on October 7th from 4:00-5:30 pm, with a
reception to follow from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Nexus. If you plan to attend the event in-person please RSVP
