<p class="MsoNormal">I’d like to extend an invitation to the Graduate Program in Science Writing’s 10<sup>th</sup> anniversary celebration. It will take place on March 24, 2012 with two panels and culminate in a most excellent dinner at the MIT Museum.

<p class="MsoNormal">Free and open to the public, the panels will focus on things that science writers like to write about.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Alan Lightman</b> will host the first, at 2:00 pm in 32-141 on the brain and memory, featuring
<b>Robert Desimone</b>, Professor of Brain and Cognitive Science at MIT, director of the McGovern Institute of Brain Science at MIT,
<b>Suzanne Corkin</b>, Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at MIT and <b>Florian Engert</b>, Assistant Professor of Cellular Biology at Harvard University.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">At 4:00, <b>Marcia Bartusiak</b> will host a panel on what we expect science to be doing in 50 years, with
<b>Angela Belcher</b>, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, <b>
Seth Lloyd</b>, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, and <b>Phillip Sharp</b>, Institute Professor, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT.<o:p></o:p></p>
