The inaugural speaker will be Dr. Richard Garwin, a physicist who is noted for his seminal contributions to nuclear arms control. The colloquia are at 4:15PM in 10-250. <br><br>Title:<br>“Physics in the Interest of Society”<br><br>Abstract:<br>I discuss experience and colleagues in the nuclear weapon program at Los Alamos, as a consultant to and member of the President's Science Advisory Committee, and since then as a JASON member and independent contributor to science and technology in the interest of national security and national benefit.
