<div style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-family: Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial; font-size: 15px; border-collapse: collapse; "><br></span></div><div style="text-align: left; "><span style="font-family: Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial; font-size: 15px; border-collapse: collapse; "><b>Biography</b>: Clark Miller's research interests focus on science, technology & globalization, with a particular emphasis on the design and critical analysis of knowledge systems in support of international and global policymaking. He is also interested in the governance challenges posed by new and emerging technologies. He has published over two dozen articles analyzing international scientific advisory processes in global environmental governance, addressing especially issues of climate change and biodiversity loss. He is also the editor, with Paul Edwards, of Changing the Atmosphere: Expert Knowledge and Environmental Governance. His current research is a comparative analysis of the design of global knowledge systems for promoting international security. In particular, the research focuses on the history of the International Monetary Fund, the World Health Organization, and the International Atomic Energy Agency from their creation in the years immediately following World War II, through the Cold War, and into the 21st century. He is also leading a new effort to explore the civil society implications of new and emerging military technologies and completing a project on nanotechnology, the brain, and the future. At ASU, Clark is Associate Director of the Consortium for Science, Policy & Outcomes, Associate Director of the Center for Nanotechnology in Society, and an Associate Professor in the School of Politics and Global Studies.</span></div>
