exceptional discussion on Monday April 3rd at 7:30pm on the growing
divide between the natural sciences and the human/social sciences and the
initiatives to bridge it. We are honored that <b>Prof. EO Wilson and
Prof. Gerald Holton</b> will give us their perspective on the topic and
set the stage for an interactive discussion with selected intellectual
personalities from the Boston area. Prof. Francis Waldvogel, President
Emeritus of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology, and initiator of
the World Knowledge Dialogue (see below), a global initiative towards a
modern humanism to bridge the gap between the natural and the
human/social sciences, will introduce the topic and the
speakers.</font><br>

<font face="arial" size=2>The first international symposium of the World Knowledge Dialogue will take place in the splendid Alpine resort of Crans Montana, Switzerland on September 14-16, 2006. World class scientists will present the essential features and the importance of their recent discoveries, while academic figures from the other sciences will offer their own views of the same topic and its consequences for the society. The audience will participate in creating new modes of collaboration.The following themes will be at the center of the symposium: the study of complex systems and the understanding of the migration of modern humans. </font><br>
