Hugh,
I hope you will let postdocs and senior grad students in your
department
know about the "Forward to Professorship" workshop at MIT in a
few weeks.
The development of this activity was partially sponsored by NSF
ADVANCE,
but my understanding is that senior grad students and postdocs of
both
genders
are welcome. Registration closes Friday, and it appears they are
rebating
the registration fee on the first day of the workshop. The URL
is:
The funding agencies and foundations will be represented, and, for my
part,
I plan to emphasize what I didn't know about getting a proposal
funded
when I was a young Ph.D.
Thanks for passing the word.
