The University of Oklahoma invites nominations and applications for a
one-year visiting assistant professor in the Department of the History of
Science. Starting date is August 16, 2005. The successful
candidate should be prepared to teach <b>undergraduate survey courses in
the history of science</b> from antiquity to the modern period and an
<b>upper-division undergraduate course in ancient science</b>. This
position carries a two-course workload/semester. Evidence of
excellence in teaching is essential. Pay rate $35,000.00 for the
academic year. Desired qualifications for the position include an
earned Ph.D. in History, History of Science or related disciplines, which
should be completed before the beginning of fall semester 2005, but an
ABD candidate will be seriously considered.<br><br>
