style='font-size:13.5pt'> </span></font><font size=4><span style='font-size:
13.5pt'>State</span></font><font size=4><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>.
Prior to this work, Ramina served as technical director for the </span></font><font
size=4><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>Curitiba</span></font><font size=4><span
style='font-size:13.5pt'> (</span></font><font size=4><span style='font-size:
13.5pt'>Brazil</span></font><font size=4><span style='font-size:13.5pt'>)
City Industrial Development Company, working to build the industrial sector as
the city experienced rapid growth in the 1980s. During recent years, Rodolpho
has been particularly interested in the environmental and human impact of large
public works projects and has strived to mitigate their negative ramifications.
As a Loeb Fellow, he is exploring the technical, design, and procedural
innovations needed to support sustainable communities within a regional
context.</span></font></p>
