<p>I've just recently delivered such a process implementation and I decided not to use the "hold" option (because its not equivalent to a preliminary posting) and not to use a different movement type.<br /></p>

<p>Instead I've created a custom from, where all relevant fields of a goods receipt are popuplated, which then wents through the approval by the Workflow. After that, the GR is posted in background using a BAPI.<br /></p>

The other option would be a two-step GR where in use movement type 103 to post the GR Into GR blocked stock and trigger the workflow and once it is approved use movement type 105 to Release GR blocked stock for warehouse, but what we are worried about this approach is it might cause some issue in the Standard Reports or PO History Status. Please advise any feasible solution.</p>
