That is how it is done in the Engineering Change Workflows by SAP. I
could be wrong but vaguely remember that there is a standard SAP
static method that can be called which will tell if current
execution is within a workflow context. <br>

I implemented something similar, maybe it helps:<br>
- in the BO method called by the needed task we export
to memory a flag<br>
- in the standard transaction an enhancement is
implemented to check if the flag is set in memory and
either deny execution outside workflow while a workflow
is started or just log somewhere the user actions
outside wf<br>
If this can be achieved with standard I would like to
know also ☺</p>
