Thanks Jocelyn and Florin. The extended notification works only in the network. Our requirement is a truely offline solution.<div><br></div><div>From ECC, we are able to send the email with the link, but user has to click on the link and send a reply back to SAP with this solution. <br>

thank you for pointing out the SRM solution, and it seems to be an interesting approach, so I'll have a look at it sooner or later.<br>

With on client I've configured a custom hyperlink which is swapped during the Extended Notifications, which again links to a custom small webservice, allowing approval/rejection or purchase orders and purchase requisitions. But it was the client's requirement that the users HAVE TO identify themself again by providing SAP username and correct password.<br>
<br>
I think, an interactive logon procedure, will still be required for the critical business approval processes, regardless if there's a working offline approval in place or not.<br>
