<div>Definitely a buggy feature. It's one of those cryptic messages that you have to had experience in, in order to decypher it.</div>
<div>As long as your WF Admin can follow the WF log all the way though and identify that the node at which the log stops then go to the WF Template and determine what node should start next, then it should be easy to pinpoint the cause. In this case, it is within the creation of the dialog task. Then it's a matter of determining why the dialog step produced the error (in most instances, it's an Agent Determination failure - via a rule or it was unable to instantiate a required object). </div>

<br>WUG-ers,<br><br>What is the expected behaviour if a dialog workitem:<br><br>- uses a rule to determine agents<br>- this rule returns no agents (a function module returns exception<br>'NOBODY_FOUND')<br>- the 'Terminate if rule has no result' flag has been set?<br>
<br>I was expecting the workitem to error with a suitable message about rules<br>failing, but it doesn't.<br><br>Instead, the whole workflow goes into error, it puts an inscrutable message<br>in the log, and no dialog workitem is created at all.<br>
<br>The log message is this:<br><br>Executing flow work item<br>Work item 000000672197: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed<br>Executing flow work item<br>Error when processing node '0000000004' (ParForEach index 000000)<br>
<br>The workflow administrator would really have to be on the ball to figure<br>that one out!<br><br>My question: Is this a bug in SAP, or a feature? Or am I doing something<br>wrong?<br><br><br>We're on ECC6.0.<br><br>
