Thanks Sue for a quick repy, I thought you do this only for passive substitution. Here the user has activated the substitution and also SWI5 shows only the user as a recipient of the workitem.<BR>

I see the entries in the table HRUS_D2 and active field is checked with the substitute profile 'ALL' and the date range is set correctly too. But substitute is not getting workitems!!
