are some very good business cases for resubmission where we do not want to

of simply setting a requested start deadline at the resubmission date and
changing the status to WAITING. I think someone commented on the opposite
recently – that a requested start on a dialog item does not prevent a
user from executing a work item before the time since it’s available in
the resubmission folder. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

The standard FM SWL_WI_DIALOG_RESUBMIT is a bit dumb in this area as it merely
hands over the value to another standard FM SWW_WI_DEADLINES_CHECK (subroutine
check_resubmission_date in INCLUDE LSWL3F01) that only enforces a few fixed
sanity checks.<br>
<br>
It's a pity SAP didn't chuck a BAdI in there to allow you to prompt the user
for a more realistic date based on process-specific logic, but that doesn't
stop you from asking for one or adding your own stuff via an enhancement :)<br>
