The workitem behind the workflow will refer to the standard user authorization to whatever transaction/screen the workitem is going to call eventually. For portal and UWL though it's a little different, however for standard R/3 the authorization should be same as the user authorizations for executing transactions. <BR>

For secondary methods, there is a separate authorization required to execute them.<BR>
