Hi Shai,

I did copy the standard task, but I had deleted the default rules and I cross-checked the custom task and it doesnot have any rules in it. I am unable to figure out from where it is getting those users also the set of users which it is resolving is not consistent and changes for the different PO's which follow the same set of rules. I would also like to know what happens when you explicitly execute the "Execute Agent rules" in the technical workitem display. Does it execute any random rules?

Regards,

As for how the system resolved agents in your case:?first I'd check if?there's a rule inside the task. If you copied the standard task, then it has a rule.?
?
Please try & notify.
?
Regards,
Shai Eyal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello All,
? ? I have a Purchase Order workflow running in ECC 6.0. It includes one of
the tasks that calls the object type BUS2012 and method single release.

Characteristics of the task are:
1) Agent assignment -> display -> Generic task
2) No default rules defined.

I am using a custom function module in the step before the task which
determines the agent which is then passed to the PO task.

Problem:

1) At run time the custom function module task couldnt find any agent and
hence it didnt have any output in the container. The custom function module
step has the status "complete"
2) The workflow was not able to execute further as no agent was found and
hence it went into error. Althought the last step was complete. Hence we
restarted the main workflow.
3) On restarting the workflow since there were no agents the PO task should
actually go to all the users since it is a Generic task . Instead it went to
a selected few people. We are unable to figure out on what basis these
people were selected since there was no agent determination done.

Question : Are there additional rules that get called from the method Single
Release

Please respond as this is urgent.

Regards,
chitra.
-------------- next part --------------
An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
URL: http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/sap-wug/attachments/20080619/bf03f035/attachment.htm
