your work item then that application would have to provide the ability to enter
the reason itself. So you need to look at the configuration/user
exits/BADIs for that application. Or else create your own
alternative application such as a webdynpro application that covers both the
standard function and your additional requirement. This would be a
development issue rather than a workflow issue. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

In case, if the approver rejects it, he must give reason with Max. of 50CHAR
length. The same must be passed to Custom BO, which will be used for some other
purpose. Let me know the suitable method to achieve

UWL XML configuration option "User Decision with Note". This is a much cleaner
option as it does not require a separate step for the attachment. You can
make the attachment mandatory for particular responses, e.g. rejection.
You can even use this technique for work items that are NOT user
