Notifications In a UWL Scenario

Hi,

I have a general question regarding the delivery of workflow approval
request in a UWL scenario. I'm installing workflow in a new SAP
implementation ( NW2004S, ECC 6 and SRM5) where MS Outlook is the
organization's standard mail program.

The assumption is that the approvers (SC, Trip, Timesheet, ... )
will only go to the UWL when they have a waiting approval request.

My question is what is the best approach for delivering these approval
notifications? Is it best to use the notification program with
a URL to the UWL or email ALERTs?

Regards,
