RE: Generate Web Transaction

Hello Deanna and Kim,

Thank you very much for your suggestions. Let me ask =
you the following question to make it more clear for me. So I am =
elaborating my question.

I generated a web transaction for the entire workflow =
template. Then when I checked up Go --> web transaction for the =
single step tasks in my workflow, these steps were not generated. =

But when I checked up SAP delivered WS20000081 =
workflow template, It has TS20000193, TS20000194,
TS01000102, TS20000085 etc.
1. When I go --> web transaction in WS20000081, =
It shows the already generated web transaction WS20000081.
2. When I go --> web transaction in TS20000193 =
and TS20000194, It also shows the already generated web transaction =
WS20000081.

3. But When I checked up the other 2 steps TS01000102 =
and TS20000085, It does not show up any web transaction under the menu =
go --> web trasnaction.

In my case I developed a completely custom workflow =
ws99200006h. I do have several single step tasks like TS99200002, =
TS99200003, TS99200005 etc. in my workflow template.

After generating the web transaction for my workflow =
template it is showing the web transaction yfpws99200006h under the =
menu go --> web transaction.

But When I check go --> web transaction for =
TS99200002, TS99200003 and TS99200005 tasks, It is not showing the web =
transaction yfpws99200006h like the standard workflow.

So my question is am I correct or doing something =
wrong?
Sorry for giving you guys trouble and thanks for =
your help.

Thanks,

Another option is to create a transaction that =
generates a workflow event to
start the workflow.

both options have their pro's and cons.
with the generate web transaction option, SAP =
generates the code for you
automatically, therefore development time is =
significantly reduced (creating a
transaction that generates an event will take time), =
however there are
restrictions to how it can be used. Generated =
Web transactions can only be used
where you can use Internet Services, therefore you =
would not be able to run the
transaction from SAPGui for Windows (a transaction =
will be able to be used
everywhere (Internet Service or not)).
