<TITLE>Executable Workitems in Outlook via SAP MAPI Service Provider</TITLE>

<BODY>
<P><FONT SIZE=2> </FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Hi, everybody:</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>We are in 40B and we have installed SAP MAPI Service Provider.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>We have created the logon profiles and their SAP Office inbox is</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>identical to their Outlook Mapi Inbox.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>We want to approve purchase requisition (WS 38) via Outlook Mapi Inbox.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Our problem is that when they execute a WorkItem from the Outlook Mapi</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Inbox, a message appears "No description available", and, there are</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>three icons (Display, Execute, Requisition Item). If you do a double</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>click on the execute icon, it works ok.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I know that there is a way to indicate that when you open a workitem it</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>must be executed directly.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I will appreciate if you give me any suggestion.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Thanks for all</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>well this is a tough one.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>I assume under the properties of the SAP MAPI service you have 'ticked'</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Workflow Enable option.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Barring that, I would log an OSS.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Sorry I couldnt be of more assistance.</FONT>
</P>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>Thanks for your response Alon.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>In answer to your questions:</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Both executable mails work fine from the Business Workplace.</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>One is firing off the back of SD output determination for a sales</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>activity</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>and when executed displays transaction VC03. The other SAPOffice mail</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>fires</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>out of PS and when executed runs a custom report. On this basis, I</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>don't</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>think the problem lies with a particular SAP program.</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Any thoughts?</FONT>
</P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>Kind Regards,</FONT>
</P>

<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Hi Lousie,</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>></FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Since you have installed SAP MAPI, Outlook is replicating what is in</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> SAP</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Inbox (now known as Business Workplace). So I would guess that you</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>first</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> port of call would be to check out the 'problem' mails in the SAP</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>Inbox</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> and</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> see if the attachments are appearing there. If they are not then you</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>know</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> that the problem has nothing to do with SAP/Outlook and is rather</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> attributed</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> to errors in the code that attach the objects to the mail.</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>></FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Assuming the error is in the attaching and not SAP/Outlook</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>integration.</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> Then</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> I have the following questions:</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>></FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> 1. Are you having problems with any particular type of Object or is it</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>all</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> objects?</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> 2. Is the email you are having problems with generated by the same</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>program</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>> or is it all emails with attachments?</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>></FONT>
