Mad,
Our basis team turns off outbound emails from QAS and DEV so there is
never a question as to where they come from. You can view the emails that
are queued up in these systems (and would have otherwise been sent) in
tcode SOST.
This allows us to test without consequence to the user community.

Which system did Work Item or Message generate from?
We have a development, quality, & production instance. All of them
generate emails to user's lotus notes email accounts either as simple
messages or to notify them of work items in their inbox. How have you
all resolved the issue of which system/client a message or work item
came from?
