Extended notification - Defining the execute link to point to portal uwl page

Hi Rina,
Ok there are a number of links available to you through the subscription parameters in SWNCONFIG.
Most of these depend on the first part of the link being available in the matching General Settings list in SWNCONFIG.
One of the links is the work item execution link. This effectively bypasses the uwl to execute the work item directly - so it depends on what type of execution is relevant to that work item.
You speak of the "R/3 HTML" version of the decision task ... the question is - what exactly is the application you are launching?
Usually we would re-register the System Alias in the UWL Admin so that user decision tasks use the appropriate Portal Iview for the decision task.
It sounds like you are trying to run the very very old R/3 gui version of the decision task, in which case you would be launching a standard SAP Transaction rather than a Portal Iview, and if that's the case then you can use SAPLOGON entry in General Settings to specify a SAP Logon shortcut to use ... but the user still has to a) have this shortcut in their logon pad, b) have the shortcut set up as a single sign on shortcut.
Are you sure that's what you want to do? Usually on my sites we just give people the link to the UWL itself and turn off the execution link on the suggestion that while they are there they should perhaps be looking at all the outstanding work rather than cherry-picking bits here and there?
Regards,
Jocelyn

Thank you Jocelyn for your reply
the problem i was trying to solve is to skip login as you guessed since sso configured only from the Portal , it will change in the future.
so i understand i can configure the SAPLOGON id to point to a portal link ?
or to insist on single-sign on ? or did i miss it all ?
Best Regards

Hi Rina,
But why oh why would you use the R/3 HTML version of the decision task?
I think you're missing the set up of the SAPLOGON id shortcut in General settings.
You specify which entry to use.. the users should have that entry set up as a single-sign on so that they skip the login.

Jocelyn

Hello ,
we are developping workflows using standard decision task that
we want to notify in email .
The execute link from email should point to the uwl iview that executes it as if the user was working from uwl .
uwl is configured to show r\3 html version.
do i have to write a special handler or can it be done by customizing ( in swfvisu ?)
the standard setting prompts the user to login to r\3
Best Regards
