Using SWI1_RULE to mass update agent assignments

Hi group,

 

We are considering using transaction SWI1_RULE to mass update the agent
assignment for active workflows after a change in the organization
structure and some of the logic in agent determination due to these
organizational changes.

 

As it is nearly impossible to end all open processes before the change
and unwanted in some situation to have agents execute tasks after the
change that they are no longer responsible for, we are considering the
approach with SWI1_RULE.

 

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it possible? Are there runtime
considerations, etc?
