Determining if actual agent of work item is a substitute

Thanks Susan. I don't have the option at this time to modify the 
workflow I inherited to introduce new container elements. There is a log 
entry as well as a flag in the WI table when the WI is forwarded but not 
when executed by a substitute. The substitute can see on whose behalf he 
is acting in the Workplace but once  WI is executed, that information 
is  lost.
