I thought of looping, but I wonder this would bring the execution back
to the same dialog process. will this send another workitem(already as
one in pending) to the Agent?

Yes. There is always a way.
See SWL_WI_DEADLINES_READ and SWL_WI_DEADLINES_UPDATE for changing DL.
I don't think this is necessary in your case though.
What you could do is stick it in a loop.
Loop Until 'done'.
On task, just make the deadline +24 hours. When it loops, it will create
a new DL task until that block in WF is completed.

Unfortunately I haven't received any reply for the question below on
continues deadline monitoring unless action taken for 4.6C.
Is that there is no option as such?

Deepak

Hi,
I have created a workflow & one of its decision task sends the workitem
for action from the approver. this task also has REQUESTED END
deadline monitoring of 24 hours with MODELED action which sends email to
the outlook of approver. I see that the email/deadline notification is
sent when the deadline is reached only once. can we make it recursive so
that even if the approver does not take action for the first deadline
email the workflow keeps sending him deadline emails every 24hours until
action is taken on the workitem? basically a continues deadline
monitoring unless action is taken
