What a treat I've just realised! I'm sure someone has mentioned it before...
If you're at a high enough release you can set External Debugging on for
WF-BATCH and debug bits of standard runtime code and things like Workitem
Exit code.
In the Editor under menu "Utilities - Settings" go to tab Debugging switch
on the flag 'Actv' and set the 'Users' to be WF-BATCH. When you set a
break-point choose for it to be an 'External Breakpoint' or a 'HTML
Breakpoint' (different in diff releases I think) When WF-BATCH goes past
that point you'll get another SAPGui window opened automatically in the
Debugger.
