Moving Workflow Items during Client consolidation

G'day Ganesh,

It's been quite a while since this has been discussed on the list, but I
think the simple answer is that you can't.

There are a lot of issues to consider such as all the auxillary table
entries floating about such as your instance linkages, as well as the fact
that there can be references to the logical system included in some table
entries and issues around the Workitem number ranges.

If you really wanted to do it I believe that you'd need to write a program
which triggered new instances in the other system/client and then
programatically moved them through the process to the same point. But then
there are the issues that the logs wil not reflect the real agents etc.

Never say never but I think you have a very difficult task ahead of you.
Potentially you are better looking at why you want to do it, and asking if
moving everything to another client is the best solution anyway.

Have fun,
Mark
