Tim,
Thanks for your response. Can you tell me if you have the function module
SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_STATUS in your system? I found an OSS note (771386)
that references that this function module is "required to handle certain
work items with the UWL". I also determined that the deadline isn't
working because the status of the workitem is never being set to "In
Process" when executed from the UWL, so I'm figuring that this missing
function module may be my problem. Unfortunately, the only way this can
be applied is through applying the relevant basis Support Pack, which I'm
not sure when that will happen. I'm just trying to determine if this
could be the problem, so I can let my clients know. I think that the UWL
is configured properly.
Thanks for your feedback.

Subject: RE: Modeled Deadline and UWL
It sounds like it could be an issue on the UWL set up. We had the same
problem initially, but once the UWL was set up to transfer the status back
to the R/3 instance, it was resolved. If you need further information,
please respond and I'll forward the message to our Portal Team who
addressed the issue.

Subject: Modeled Deadline and UWL
I have a workflow that has a modeled deadline on Latest Start, set to go
off after 3 days from workflow creation. When the workitem is executed
within the GUI the deadline is removed (from table SWWWIDH), and all is
well, but when the workitem is executed from the portal the deadline is
not removed. Thus, in 3 days the deadline logic kicks in even though the
workitem was executed. We are on Portal 6.0, SP6. Does anyone know if
this is correct, some type of bug, or something I haven't set up properly?
Thanks in advance.
