Link between workflow in BBP and WF in R/3 for PR/PO release

Thanks Bodo for your swift reply and it is of very good use to me. Maybe you
or anybody else could also shine your light on this question. The process
described in BBP is as follows:
1. User creates shopping basket
2. Manager is notified
3. Manager approves the shopping basket
4. Purchasing document is created.
Now what happens if the purchasing document that is created in R/3 causes a
workflow to be started in R/3 based on characteristics defined in
customizing. Suppose the PO is so special it needs to be reviewed by
somebody first. Is there any feedback to BBP system?

Thanks!

Arnoud

Hi Arnoud,
by setting the flag in the BBP system you define a relationship
just as you do in your HR system. The table you might want to look
at are HRP1001, HRP1222 etc.
In order to integrate HR with the BBP structure you need to set up
a ALE distribution model and some infotype filter. For PO creation
your integration between BBP and your backend is basically your last
step in your SB workflows. When you look into the BOR via SW01 you can
check the method TRANSFER of the Object BUS2121 Shopping basket.
The object type the FM is creating depends on your customizing. Though
you can check it in the REQREF table where you already have a number
drawn from the number range buffer of your referral system.

Happy Easter
to the ones who celebrate it,
to all others
        enjoy your week-end

Hi All,

Does anybody know something about the integration between workflow in BBP
and WF in R/3 for PR/PO release when using R/3 as backend? What I know from
training material in ECO210 is that both object types and templates are
different. Also from the training I can not tell if the organizational plan
is integrated. It seems it is maintained differently. For example defining a
supervisor <-> subordinate relation is done by checking a checkbox and not
by maintaining the proper relationship type. Is it possible to integrate
user-defined relationship types in R/3 with BBP?

Best regards,
Arnoud van Heerde
