Forgot to mention that our customizing encounters were in releases 3.1H and
4.6B.
Hopefully the remarks will be relevant to your 4.0B installation.

Greetings Brad,

We have also experienced the first problem you mention. If you execute the
individual
customizing task to schedule the Error Item Monitoring job, you will likely see
that it is
already scheduled, but with a too-early starting date that was
likely copied from another system.

Delete the entries on the bottom three lines (Status, Interval & Retry counter)
and save.
When you AutoCustomize from SWU3 again, the job should be properly scheduled.

You can also schedule SWWERRE manually, but SWU3 will not recognize it, and your
red light will remain.

Brad, regarding your second question, the number range would only be
required if you were creating new "T " tasks, but since it is now
recommended to only create "TS" tasks, this should not be an issue. We are
also on 4.0b and have never customized this setting. We have never
experienced any problems.

Subject: Workflow Customizing Questions

This is in regards to "Verify Workflow Customizing" (SWUD):
1) Before I do the Automatic Customizing, both the activities for monitoring
missed deadlines and work items are not scheduled. After I do the Automatic
Customizing, only the missed deadlines is scheduled while the work items is
not. According to the help documentation, both are supposed to be set. Has
anyone else seen this?

2) "Workflow development environment" customizing is marked as incomplete
due to "No explicit number range defined for customer tasks (type 'T')".
We've been using Workflow in production for over a year and we do have
customer tasks (type 'T'), but we've never corrected this customizing
activity. What problems, if any, does this cause?

We're on 4.0B.

Thanks,
Brad
