A point of clarification, Antwuan.<br>
<br>
- MIT Wireless Forum is a presentation group; They hold monthly talks
about wireless technology (cell, wifi, new technology).<br>
- Roofnet is a research initiative at MIT.<br>
- Rooftops is (was) a group similar to MIT Wireless Forum that brought
together researchers and users of wireless data networks to explore
social/technical/economic issues surrounding wireless technology and
its deployment within all tiers of communities.<br>
<br>
As far as I am aware (as a participant in the NY chapter of the MITWF
and a co-founder of Rooftops) neither of these two groups actually
build wireless networks. Roofnet is an entirely separate initiative at
MIT.<br>
