Next week's MIT QIP seminar will take place on Monday,May 9th at 
16:00 in 4-237, and features:


Generalized Spin Coherent States for Higher Spin Magnitudes and their 
Application to Quantum Information Theory

by Khikmat Muminov (visiting Fulbright Scholar at MIT and Prof. of 
Theoretical Physics, Tajik State National University, Tajikistan)

ABSTRACT

Generalized coherent states are constracted on SU(2S+1) Lie group for 
the arbitrary spin magnitude, which take into account quadrupole 
(multipole) degrees of freedom of spin dynamics. Their possible 
application to the Quantum Information Theory by use NMR and QNR is 
discussed.


This is the last MIT QIP seminar of Spring 2005; we will be starting 
in the Fall with David DiVincenzo (IBM Research, Yorktown Heights)!
