Dear Amnesty Friends:

My name is Hanna, formally a co-President of the MIT chapter of Amnesty International. During this weekend, I am participating in 3-Day Startup, an activity at MIT that helps students launch startups. My team is working on an idea that more closely connects two sectors, nonprofits and the private sector, that have been traditionally separated, in order to help people and nonprofits do more effective fundraising. We envision that our site will be powerful in creating motivation for the private sector to proactively help people in need (i.e. disaster relief, homelessness, human rights issues).

For our project, we would like to collect information on donation behavior from potential donation givers such as yourselves. We will be using this information during our pitch this Sunday night (Jan. 20) to financial investors and entrepreneurs to receive seed funding to launch this social enterprise. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate it if you could fill out a brief survey at the following link, preferably before 3:30PM on Sunday: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/J5PZT8V

If you would like to attend our Sunday night pitch to learn more, I invite you to join us tomorrow at 7:00 PM, in Rm. 32-155, at MIT's Stata Center at 32 Vassar Street. Thank you very much for your time. Your responses will greatly help support our social impact initiative, bring to fruit an innovative way to improve the lives of others, and change the status quo.

Warm regards,
Hanna Zhu
