Anti Torture Demonstration Monday, 11 AM
Torture is immoral -- Let's keep it illegal!
Brookline PeaceWorks is calling for an anti torture demonstration before =
forum
organized by Congressman Marty Meehan. The demonstration will be at
11am, tomorrow, Monday, Dec 12,
at 120 Tremont Street, in front of Suffolk's Sargent Hall.
We will have Stop Torture signs for you to hold, and flyers with =
information
about the Cheney's effort to make torture legal to pass out.
Come express your opposition to torture before the forum where three =
Congressmen
will speak, and there is some possibility of TV coverage!
Torture may be made legal if the McCain amendment to the defense =
authorization
bill is not passed. Cheney has requested the Congressional conference =
committee
to adopt language that would legally authorize human rights abuses and =
torture

Forum 12 pm
The Forum will undoubtedly be interesting, and may include an =
announcement,
considering that there will three Congressmen there, besides the =
national
executive director of Amnesty International. You may also want to thank
