The fight over the Energy Bill breaks down along party lines mostly.

The House bill contemplates $8B in tax incentives to the Energy Industry to 
increase domestic fossil fuel production. The President says he will veto that.

The President's plan includes $4.8B in incentives to RE. The House bill has 
only 410 million on this line.

Senate Democrats are threatening to filibuster any bill that lets MTBE 
manufacturers off the legal hook. This issue is what killed the bill last year.

The President wants Congress to deliver a bill by the end of July.
