Mentoring Certificate</a></span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-transform: none;">, based on curriculum developed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), allows
participants to explore their mentoring practice in preparation for their future roles as advisors, PI’s, and/or supervisors. The program emphasizes the fundamental importance of mentoring to the research culture of MIT. Participants meet for 6 hours, (3 in-person
sessions during IAP) and work towards developing a mentoring philosophy statement. This certificate program is offered two times per year, typically in January and June.</span></p>
