this tumultuous time, it is more important than ever to understand all the levers the government has that affect policy. State and local policy in particular gets less coverage but plays an incredibly essential role in the allocation of federal funds, science
education/workforce development, anything urban planning, and more. Additionally, due to the lack of state-level and local engagement, your voice can be particularly powerful. During state visit day, you will get a chance to talk to people across various branches
of state and local government: senators, representatives, agency executives, and more. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
