<div class="">In July of this year, the PDA’s DE&I Committee administered a survey on the hiring and recruitment of postdocs around the institute. <b class="">We are happy to share with you the results of this survey.</b> Thank you to those of you that responded
to the survey this summer. </div>

<div class="">This survey represents a first effort to understand the relationship between the diversity of the postdoc population, and postdoc hiring and recruiting practices at MIT. Though t<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" class="">his
initial study had too few responses to deeply examine this issue given the significant differences between fields,</span> we hope that the results of this survey can be used to further data collection on the subject, and eventually help lead to a more equitable
and inclusive process. </div>

<div class="">We have published the results of this survey on our website at this <a href="https://pda.mit.edu/resources/diversity/postdoc-hiring-at-mit/" class="">link</a>, and <b class="">we invite you to share widely. </b> This information itself improves
the transparency of the process, and we hope will inspire similar work at other institutions. </div>
