<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear MIT Postdocs,</div><div> </div><div>I would like to invite you to participate in a study titled “Development of a universal rubric for scientific presentations”. The aim of the study is to create and validate a rubric, which can serve as a guide for the development of scientific presentations in any discipline, and also as a tool for evaluating and scoring scientific presentations.</div><div><br></div><div>As a participant in this study, you will be required to score up to 6 videotaped presentations with a rubric created during this study. Each presentation will be no more than 20 min long. After scoring of the presentations, you will be required to participate in a discussion about your perception of the rubric’s usefulness as an evaluating tool and also as a guide for preparing future presentations. All evaluators will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits sharing of any information about specific research projects and the rubric evaluation process.
