<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><font class="x_x_Apple-style-span" size="4">We are pleased to announce the internal call for postdoctoral scholar nominations for the<b> 2</b><b><sup>nd</sup></b><b> Annual Regeneron Prize for Outstanding Research </b>(please see attached
information document and nomination form for details). The Regeneron Prize “recognizes and honors excellence in Biomedical Science conducted by graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.” Regeneron is asking MIT to submit two candidates to compete for this
prize for each of the categories (two graduate and two postdoc candidates).</font></p>
<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><span class="x_x_Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large"><b><u>Prize:</u></b> One graduate student and one postdoctoral fellow will receive a check for $50,000 and their home institution will receive a donation of $5,000 to help support
their seminar series. Also, approximately 8-10 finalists and semi-finalists will receive a prize of $5,000.</span></p>
<p class="x_x_MsoNormal"><span class="x_x_Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large"><b><u>Process:</u></b> Postdoctoral candidates must be nominated for the prize by their Program Head or Dean, and must prepare a two-page research proposal. Each institution
may nominate no more than two total trainees for each of the prizes, and therefore each nomination form must include a signature of the Program Head or Dean endorsing the candidate. The Office of the Dean for Graduate Education will facilitate graduate student
nominations, which should be sent to Scott Tirrell <a href="mailto:stirrell@mit.edu">stirrell@mit.edu</a>.</span></p>
