As part of their mission to connect MIT research and the industry, the Industrial Liaison Office (ILP) is organizing the:<br>
<b>MIT Future of Health and Wellness Conference <br>
February 6-7, 2013</b><br>
<br>
This conference will convene R&D leaders from industry to learn about the state of research in preventative medicine and to hear current academic thought leadership on themes such as nutrition, obesity, aging, cardiovascular disease, etc. It will also explore
innovative technologies as applied to behavioral monitoring and modification in the promotion of a healthier lifestyle. More <a href="http://ilp.mit.edu/conference.jsp?confid=63&tabname=overview">details about the conference can be found here.</a><br>

MIT affiliated researchers working in the field of health and wellness are invited to attend this conference and network with their industry peers and should <a href="http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1175329">register for the conference
by following this link</a>. Due to space considerations, the organizers reserve the right to limit the number of non-paying attendees and will notify accordingly.<br>
<br>
<div><b>A poster session</b>, with a best poster prize of $1,000, will be held during the event. Suggested (but not limited to) themes include:<br>
<div>• Technologies for behavior monitoring and advocacy of a healthier lifestyle</div>
<div>• Promoting wellness within specific populations (e.g., elderly, women, children, etc.) or of those with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease or dementia.</div>
<div>• Clinically-validated research on foodstuffs, natural products, exercise regimens or atypical non-drug therapeutics</div>
<div>• Mental health and wellness</div>
<div>• Other research related to preventative health and wellness</div>

be submitted online by <b>Thursday, January 31, 2012 at 11:59pm. </b>Accepted posters will also be notified by email.</div>
