<div> </div>
<div>Networking has long been a way for people to make
connections that lead to opportunities. Until recently,
the process usually involved attending a networking event,
exchanging business cards and then inputting the
information collected into a database for follow-up.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>However, networking has evolved beyond the business
card. No longer is it enough to shake hands and exchange
pleasantries over cocktails. Today’s savvy networker must
have a defined strategy for identifying key individuals,
groups and organizations who will be instrumental to
helping them achieve their objectives. They must evaluate
their existing networks and then complement them with new
connections that bring a specific value. They must have
defined messages that clearly state what they need from
their network.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>During this workshop, participants will learn how to:</div>
<ul>
<li style="margin-left:15px">evaluate their existing
networks and identify new connections that bring
specific value</li>
<li style="margin-left:15px">
develop a simple, clear and concise “elevator pitch” and
supporting messages to serve as a platform for
introduction</li>
<li style="margin-left:15px">understand social media tools
and how they can complement networking efforts</li>
<li style="margin-left:15px">build a networking strategy
that most efficiently utilizes time and resources</li>
</ul>
