Vice President for Research Claude Canizares has 5 Presidential Committee that report directly to him. He has spoken with each Committee Chair and every one of them would welcome postdoc participation on their committee. If anyone is interested in serving on the following committees, please email me [<a href="debra@mit.edu">debra@mit.edu</a>] the following materials</span><font size="4"><span style="font-size:14pt"><b> by Friday, August 6. This deadline is firm</b></span></font><span style="font-size:12pt">.<br>

1. A brief description [1-3 paragraphs] of why you want to serve on a particular committee and what you can offer. Please include your supervisor’s name and the DLC that you are appointed in.<br>
<br>
2. Your CV. <br>
<br>
Your applications will be reviewed by the Nomination Committee of the Postdoc Advisory Council and the finalists will be forwarded to the President’s Office for final approval. It is the postdoc’s responsibility to notify his/her supervisor of their intent to serve on a committee.<br>
<br>
These are the 5 committees that are accepting postdoc nominees. One postdoc nominee will be appointed to each committee. </span><font size="4"><span style="font-size:14pt"><b>We are seeking applications for ONLY the committees listed below.</b> </span></font><span style="font-size:12pt">Please check out the links for a brief description and membership information for each committee.
