Dear Postdoctoral Office or Association:

We are writing to inform your institution about the Strategic Training
in Allergy Research (ST*AR) Program inviting promising PhD trainees
(PhD candidates or PhD post docs) interested in research related to
allergy and immunology (e.g. molecular biology, pharmacology,
physiology, or epidemiology) to present their original work at the
Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma &
Immunology (AAAAI) in San Diego, California from February 23-27,
2007.

The AAAAI Annual Meeting is the premier international meeting in this
field. The goal of the ST*AR Program, which is held in conjunction
with the AAAAI Annual Meeting, is to provide PhD trainees with an
opportunity to investigate research and career opportunities in the
field of allergy and immunology. The AAAAI Annual Meeting provides an
excellent forum for those interested in translating basic science
advances into clinical practice as the meeting is attended by basic
scientists, translational clinical researchers, and clinical experts
in allergy/ immunology.

The ST*AR Program will take place February 22-25, 2007 and is designed
specifically for PhD trainees who have submitted abstracts that have
been accepted for presentation at the AAAAI Annual Meeting. It
features the following opportunities:

- Presentation of original research at the ST*AR Program, February
22-25, 2007, and in the general AAAAI Annual Meeting Program;

-Attendance at AAAAI Annual Meeting postgraduate program and
symposia;

-Basic research presentations by AAAAI members who are NIH funded
researchers in allergy/immunology;

-Information about career opportunities in allergy and immunology
research;

-Funds for travel, including airfare, ground transportation, hotel
accommodation, meals, and meeting registration.
