<div><font face="Times New Roman">Ambassador Richard Egan served as
the US Ambassador to Ireland between 2001-2003. Ambassador Egan is the
Founder and Chairman Emeritus of EMC Corporation, an S&P 500
company that is the world's leading supplier of intelligent
enterprise storage and retrieval technology. Ambassador Egan is a
self-made billionaire, and was named Inc. magazine's "Master
Entrepreneur of the Year" in 1994. He has served as Director of the
Massachusetts High Technology Council and Business Roundtable. He is a
member of the Governor's Economic Council in Massachusetts and of
the U.S. Department of Commerce Transition Advisory Council. He earned
a B.Eng degree from Northeastern and undertook his graduate work at
MIT</font></div>

<div><font face="Times New Roman"><b>Profile</b></font></div>
<div><font face="Times New Roman">Séamus Brennan was appointed
Minister for Social and Family Affairs on 29 September 2004, having
served as Minister for Transport since June 2002. He was Minister of
State at the Department of the Taoiseach, with special responsibility
as Government Chief Whip, and Minister of State at the Department of
Defence between 1997 and 2002. He was spokesperson on Transport,
Energy and Communications from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Brennan was Minister
of State at the Department of Enterprise and Employment, with special
responsibility for Commerce and Technology, 1993 to 1994. He was also
Minister for Education from 1992 to 1993, Minister for Tourism,
Transport and Communications between 1991 and 1992 and Minister for
Tourism and Transport, 1989 to 1991. He was Minister of State at the
Department of Industry and Commerce, with special responsibility for
Trade and Marketing, between 1987 and 1989. He was first elected to
the Dáil in 1981 and previously served as Senator from 1977 to 1981.
He was a member of Dublin County Council between 1985 and 1987 and
General Secretary of Fianna Fáil from 1973 to 1980. He was educated
at St Joseph's Secondary School, Galway; University College, Galway
(BA, BComm) and University College, Dublin (MComm). A native of
Galway, Minister Brennan now represents the Dublin South Constituency.
He is married with six children.</font></div>
