Senior Research Scholar at Yale Law School, the author of "The
Door in the Dream: Conversations
with <span
></span> Eminent Women in
Science", a book based on her interviews with women members of
the National Academy of Sciences.</font><br>

face="Trebuchet MS"><b> "The Past, Present and Future of Women in
Science"</b></font><br>
<font face="Trebuchet MS" color="#333399">SHORT BIO:</font><font
face="Trebuchet MS"> A summa cum laude graduate of Smith
College, Wasserman earned a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from
Harvard (Radcliffe) in 1949. She began her career as a research
chemist. She subsequently served as Assistant Dean of the Yale
Graduate School and later oversaw the transition of Yale College to
coeducation. In 1976 Wasserman earned a J.D. from the Yale Law School.
After clerking on the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, she practiced
law and divorce mediation for almost 20 years. In 2004 she was elected
an AWIS Fellow in recognition of her achievements on behalf of women
at Yale and in science. Wasserman is currently lecturing and writing
about women in academia and beyond.</font></div>
