Information Session for International Scholars

The ISO staff will present a free tax information session for
international scholars on Friday, February 18, 2005 from 10 am to 11
am in the Twenty Chimneys room, 3rd floor, Stratton Student Center
(Building W20).

At the information session, we will provide general information about
federal (United States) and Massachusetts state tax filing
requirements and give instructions for using CINTAX tax preparation
software. We regret that we will not be able to answer questions
specific to your individual tax situation or tax return.

CINTAX (Complete International Tax Preparation) is an Internet-based
system that will be available starting in early 2005 to international
students and scholars with an MIT certificate. CINTAX (formerly
NRAware) is designed primarily for individuals in F, J, M, or Q visa
status. However, international scholars in H-1B, O, or TN status may
also be able to use the program, depending on their individual
situations. More information will be posted on the ISO website as soon
as it is available.
