<div>Anybody interested in captaining a GET-FIT postdoc team?</div>
<div>If so, please be in touch with Janet (by return email)!</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>We are writing to let you know about a new program that can help
members of your department beat the winter doldrums, build team
spirit, boost morale, win prizes, and, best of all, keep those New
Year’s resolutions to get into shape.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Getfit@mit is a 12-week, team-oriented fitness challenge
sponsored by MIT Medical, the MIT Health Plans, the Center for Health
Promotion and Wellness, and Web Communication Services. Teams of five
to eight members can sign up online now at http://getfit.mit.edu. A
kick-off event will be held at the Z-Center at noon on January 4,
2005, and the challenge will begin the following week. At the end of
March, the team with the highest average number of minutes exercised
over the course ! of the challenge will win a grand prize--not to
mention substantial bragging rights--but everyone who participates
will have opportunities to win team and individual awards. Of course,
better health and fitness may be the best prize of all.<br>
</div>
<div>Complete information, rules, and team sign-up are available at
http://getfit.mit.edu.<br>
</div>
<div>Attached to this email is a poster (PDF format) with information
about getfit@mit. We’d appreciate it if you could print out several
copies and hang them up around your department (they look best printed
in color, but black and white is okay, too). We’ve also attached a
team sign-up form (MS Word format) people can use to organize teams
prior to signing up on-line.<br>
</div>
<div>If you have questions or want color copies of the poster sent to
you through interoffice mail, contact Deirdre Neylon (<a
href="mailto:neyl@med.mit.edu">neyl@med.mit.edu</a>) or Katherine Wahl
(<a href="mailto:wahl@med.mit.edu">wahl@med.mit.edu</a>) at MIT
Medical.<br>
</div>
<div>Get ready. Get set. Get fit!</div>
