Where else
can you meet other people roughly your age who are not the same old

out things you may
not yet know about, such as: How to pay only $6 for movie tickets, how
to use a
free MIT sailboat even on full moon nights, when and where to find
free meals
at MIT, where to find good food in Cambridge, where to dance tango for
free on
a bridge over the river at night under the same full moon, and even
how to get
your $150 refunded from your gym membership. Also, you can take the
opportunity
to share concerns or gripes: how to get cheaper childcare, what to do
about
health care, etc. Maybe you arrived at MIT and feel that nobody

Happy Holidays!

The Police at MIT, Parking and Transportation Office and Community
Dining are offering you some
opportunities to give to those less fortunate this holiday season.

On Tuesday, December 9, from 11:00 am -
1:00 pm, come and enjoy free coffee and
dessert with your donation of a new toy to the annual MIT Toy Drive.
This will be held at Lobdell Food Court in the Stratton Student
Center. If you can't make it to this event but would to donate a toy,
they can be dropped off at Walker, Lobdell, the
Dome Cafe or The Police at MIT. We ask that the toys be new and
non-violent and unwrapped. If you don't want to buy toys but would
like to make someone's holiday a little warmer - new clothes such as
mittens, hats, socks, etc. are also welcomed. (See attached
poster.)

Another great opportunity to give is through The MIT Parking and
Transportation Office which will once again sponsor a 'Toys for
Tickets' program this holiday season as part of the Annual MIT Toy
Drive.
Instead of paying an outstanding MIT parking violation, the parking
office will accept new,
unopened toys to settle the ticket.

Just bring the parking violation, the unwrapped
toy and receipt to the parking office (E32)
between December 1st and December 18th. This program is open to
anyone who has an
outstanding MIT parking violation, regardless of the date of
violation. The
value of the toy or game must be of equal or greater value than the
parking
violation.

The Parking Office is located in E32-105 and office hours are from
8:30AM to
4:30PM Monday through Friday. Most needed gifts are non-violent toys
or games for a
child up to the age of 12. The gifts will be distributed to needy
families who live in the area
of the MIT Campus.

Thank you and Happy Holidays from all of us in the Police at MIT,
Parking and Transportation and Community Dining.
